Oh my god what have I done now…...

This page is dedicated to the restoration of my current project. The frame is from an old club bike that was wrecked may years ago. The majority of the parts will be from a basket-case bike I bought for parts.

The carb is all there but I have not been able to get the idle port clean. Used the throttle and choke plates with a body from the wrecked club bike.

The donor bike had several parts that I was missing. The handle bars cleaned up well. The rear wheel I was missing and some of the wheel spacers.

The ignition parts and the lighting coil were missing from the club engine and the carb had no throttle or choke plates. I found out during a carb rebuild that the idle jet had broken off in the port. I luckily drilled it out and to my surprise it actually runs.

With a running engine I now feel it is worthy to go ahead with the rest of the rebuild. I would still like to find a better rear wheel but the rest of the parts can be found pretty easily.

Haven't done much lately on the restoration. I have managed to gather some parts. I guess I need to update this site more frequently also. The frame is done and the engine is mounted. I have acquired a new set of grey cables and have the wheels cleaned and looking nice. It is about time to mount the brakes and throttle and see if the thing will run after sitting all winter. I did manage to source a new carb so if I continue to have idle issues I have a backup plan.
